Due to Malta's current internet access quality and the varied expat market, we are offering a fantastic 50% deposit scheme in addition to our low £15 per month bandwidth charge, whereby you can have your deposit refunded if you return your set-top box once you no longer require it, regardless of your reason for return. As with other countries, for customers in Malta the price of the set-top box is £50. However, a £25 refund will be given if you decide to return the set-top box later. To receive the refund you must return the box complete with all of its original packaging, and the box and accessories must be clean and undamaged. We now have a collection and demonstration shop in Malta, where you see the service running and they can help you with ordering. The monthly charge covers bandwidth and service maintenance, it is not a subscription to the channels themselves. We cannot guarantee the channel line-up, as channels may become unavailable due to network limitations or service maintenance. Hence we offer this Internet TV service without any contract. If your set-top box completely fails to work then you can return it in the first seven days for a full £50 refund. After seven days, you may return to your box at any time, and for any reason, to receive a £25 refund. The monthly charges have to paid via a recurring monthly payment on Paypal, which you can cancel at any time by logging into your Paypal account. Your Internet TV account will be suspended if you cancel your payments. If desired, you can cancel your monthly payment in Paypal but keep your set-top box for later use. When you wish to use the set-top box again, all you need to do is login to the customer area on the Watch British TV Abroad website and subscribe again to continue your Paypal payments. The service is delivered via the internet, so it is not HD quality like Sky. However, it is perfect for expat viewing because you get a good selection of UK TV channels, including the most popular ones: BBC (1, 2, 3, and 4), ITV (1, 2, 3, and 4), Channel 4, Channel 5, More 4, QVC, Film 4, and BBC News. Our servers offer a PVR service, allowing you to go back and watch programmes from the past seven days, but this tends to be unreliable; depending on the number of viewers worldwide and the degree of internet congestion between UK and Malta. Therefore, we do not currently charge for this service and do not make any guarantees about its availability. A recent court ruling shows TV in Europe is regarded as one market.
